Touch software version 1.1.1 released for Apple iPod

This week, Apple released the iPod touch software version 1.1.1 update for their recently launched digital media player.This ia a hefty app of 150 megs but it seems to have solved a video-display problem which resulted in the device displaying dark images improperly.

iPod Touch owners can get this latest update from the Apple iTunes application. This release came along with the latest update for the iPhone device from the company.

iPhone vulnerability is also there in Mac OsX and Windows version Safari - Hackers Say

The iPhone vulnerability that could let hackers steal data or commandeer the device also exists in the desktop edition of Apple Inc.’s Mac OS X operating system, the exploit’s researchers said today.

Charles Miller, one of the three researchers from Baltimore-based Independent Security Evaluators (ISE) who found the bug and wrote proof-of-concept exploits, confirmed that the vulnerability in the iPhone version of Safari is also present in the desktop version of the browser. Safari is included with all Mac OS X installations.

The Windows version of Safari is also vulnerable. “[But] it may or may not be exploitable there,” Miller said.

Apple has posted a new beta build of its Safari Web browser for Mac OS X and Windows, Safari 3.0.2 beta. It’s available for download now.

Safari 3.0.2 for Mac OS X beta features several changes, including the latest security updates, improved stability, and improved WebKit support for Mail, iChat and Dashboard.

Highlights of Mac OS X Leopard: By Steve Jobs Keynote at WWDC 07

Apple chief Steve Jobs revealed in gory details the Mac OS X Leopard at the WWDC 07. It looks great and will sell for an affordable $129 (For all of its version :P i.e. there are no different version of Leopard, one version for all purpose).

He threw the concept of providing solution in that way that it is used by EVERYONE.

Apple says that you get more than 300 new features with this 64-bit OS X update. The highlights are the new cool desktop with stacks, Finder with music cover browser, Time Machine backup, Quick look WebClips, DashCode, and the cool new iChat.

Apple will enable 3rd party developer support on the iPhone. They do it with Web 2.0 technologies like Ajax, to keep the core of the phone save.

The 3rd interesting announcement is Apple releasing Safari 3 web browser on Windows.
